Fluorocarbon Coatings

Kyanr 500 or Hylar 500, a polyvinylidence fluoride resin (PVDF), used in paint formulators as the basic component in producting protective finishes for aluminuim and galvanized steel. The product's remakable ability to resist fading, cracking, corrosion, acid rain and attacks from all types of airborne chemicals is due to the molecular structure of PVDF. The carbon-fluorine bond, the strongest molecular bond know, is the key to Kynar 500 resin's exceptionally high thermal, chemical and ultraviolet light resistance properties. The test result in coating has been in use over twenty-five years and meet the requirements of AAMA2605 voluntary specifications for High Performance Organic Coatings on Architectural Extrusions and Panels.
